At a time when basic school and college education was denied to the daughters of our KVO community, this trust attempted to encourage people of our community to provide basic graduation to the girls to empower them and in-turn lead to a sound future of the community. In 1968, this trust was founded by the funds from the community with the support of Family of Shri Devji Khetsee who offered a sum of Rs. 50,000 under the aegis of Shree Kutchi Visa Oswal Sthanakwasi Jain Mahajan. The trust is supported by additional funds from the donors and well-wishers of the community.

VISION

To encourage, empower, elevate the KVO girls/women by facilitating their higher education at National/ International level, also inculcating Professional and Entrepreneurial skills, thereby promoting excellence in them and be able to identify as well as create leaders for a developing futuristic society.

MISSION

• Assessing the needs of KVO girls/women pertaining to the region specific and career specific requirements, thereafter supporting them through scholarships and interest free loans across all levels including junior college, graduation, post graduation, other higher education and profession including vocational education.

• In the pursuit of recognizing excellence, identifying & evaluating meritorious KVO girls/women and felicitating their curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements through Merit Scholarship Awards.

• Providing counselling and guidance for all fields of formal as well as informal education in various fields such as medicine, engineering, design, arts, commerce, science, home science, management, etc through subject specific experts from academics, industry and corporates.

• Empowering the women of all ages through training in various local regions for inculcating and developing soft-skills required in several walks of life, for campus and corporate life, entrepreneurship, start ups, e-commerce, technology up-gradation, etc.

• Identifying and recognizing KVO women achievers along with the women from their family who supported them through their journey.

• Creating a platform through a publication to recognize contribution of women entrepreneurs, professionals, etc.

ACTIVITIES

• Need based scholarships - in the last decade, need based scholarships, of Rs 2 crores + was disbursed to 10,000+ students across 107 villages for higher education

• Interest free education loans - Domestic & Foreign - since 2009, interest free loans, of Rs 4.7 crores + was disbursed to 1000+ girl students across 107 villages for higher education. Foreign Education Loan Project started under the name of "Smt. Premilaben Laxmichand Kunverji Kenia International Education Project" to KVO girls which is given by the Trust.

• Merit Awards - Merit based scholarships under the name "Bhartiben Chimanlal Shivji Merit Awards" are presented to student achievers as identified through a jury process comprising of online aptitude/psychometric tests based on general knowledge, written assessments containing sops, group assessments to figure out how well they perform in a group and personal assessment in various categories such as Xth, XIIth, graduation, post graduation and other higher achievements.

• Prince Merit Scholarships Award - This Project has been started under the name of "Smt. Kalaben Mahendra Gangji Chheda - Prince Merit Scholarship" presented to girl students whose performance is high and they have acquired admissions / studying through competitive exams in premier colleges / universities such as government medical colleges, IIT, NID, NIFT, government law colleges, ivy league foreign universities etc.

• Career Guidance Seminar & Psychometric Aptitude Test -  Annually organizing aptitude test and career seminars since 2003, to help students choose their careers through guidance by academic and professional experts.

• A Day With Professionals - An opportunity for the students and their parents to interact one on one or in small groups with the academicians, industry experts and professionals to gain knowledge and clarify doubts about various traditional and off beat careers.

• Women Empowerment Workshop - Workshop to improve communication skill, role & contribution to service & to enhance management skills.

• Campus To Corporate Workshop - Workshops for training students to suit the corporate needs and bridge the gap between the classroom and work place.

• Key To Success Workshop - Workshop on identifying inner potentials of entrepreneurship, opportunities & challenges in business, identifying consumer needs, marketing strategies and much more.

• Lakshya Workshop - Workshop on six basic steps to start your own business & identify your own vision & mission to reach goals

• Work From Home Workshop - Social media an income source for work from home.

• Udaan - An event to recognize contribution of women in profession, entrepreneurship and work. Aimed to identify and recognize KVO women who have fought various challenges and achieved professional success, which was possible only with the support of other women in the family

• Women Go - Getters - A publication to create a database of women in varied fields of profession and document inspirational stories. Women who are gainfully employed or self-employed, from home or workplace, full time or part time.
